Casa Pauline 1-2 person holiday home

The completely renovated old Portuguese cottage Casa Pauline (45 m2) is a wonderfully comfortable and luxurious self-catered holiday home with two bedrooms and shared pool for 1-2 people in a Mediterranean garden in the Algarve, Portugal.

What does Casa Pauline offer?
The cottage has been renovated in Portuguese style with the familiar authentic Portuguese details. Suitable for all ages, it's also ideal for remote workers and winter visitors.

The high wooden ceilings and numerous windows make the holiday home feel bright and spacious. It boasts sea views, its own private, south-facing Mediterranean garden, and the neighbor's olive grove.

Air conditioning and underfloor cooling in the summer, and comfortable underfloor heating and a cozy wood-burning stove in the winter. The floor is covered with original handmade Portuguese Santa Catarina tiles.

From the cozy living room, you have access to the master bedroom, the bathroom, and the second smaller bedroom. The kitchenette is located in the living room.

Kitchen
This is equipped with an oven, induction hob, extractor hood, small double dishwasher, wine cooler, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, kitchen linens, crockery, cutlery, and a separate large refrigerator. And of course, all the necessary cooking utensils.

Bathroom
The bathroom features a vanity with a sink. The floor is covered in Portuguese tiles, handcrafted by an 83-year-old local craftsman.

Of course, with modern underfloor heating for the winter! A rain shower with hand shower, vanity unit, and toilet complete the bathroom.

Living room
Here you will find two comfortable armchairs, a three-seater velvet sofa, a coffee table with marble and glass and a modern carpet.

Enjoy your meal at the wooden dining table with four compact, handmade linen-look dining chairs. And don't forget the cozy wood-burning stove.

Large bedroom
This consists of a handmade luxury box spring with a quilted headboard and a 21 cm high hotel quality medium-firm mattress of 180 cm x 200 cm.

A clothes rack, a chest of drawers, air conditioning, and French doors leading to your own spacious garden. Bathrobes and towels are provided!

Second bedroom
This includes a single sofa bed with a good-quality mattress, as well as a wardrobe with several drawers and hanging space for your clothes.

Garden
The large private Mediterranean garden with a terrace is equipped with a parasol and lounge set for relaxing outdoors. There is a terrace and parking space at both the front and side of the house.

Communal garden
The communal, young Mediterranean garden features primarily plants from the Algarve, such as yuccas, cacti, and succulents. Palms, cypresses, and fruit trees are also present. We bought some, but we also took cuttings from many of the plants ourselves, and they have grown considerably since then.

In this garden, you'll also find a large gas barbecue where you can barbecue to your heart's content. A pétanque court will also be added in the future.

Shared swimming pool
Finally, there's the 10x4 meter saltwater pool. It's big enough to swim a few laps or relax on the bench in the water with a drink. Sunbeds await you under the palm trees overlooking the Atlantic coast. Let the holidays begin!

Remote working
If you'd like to relax and work remotely during your stay at Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho, we offer a range of options. We'll provide a comfortable desk chair and good Wi-Fi.

Tourist tax
- From May to October, maximum 5 nights, two euros per person per night.
- From November to April, maximum 5 nights, one euro per person per night.
- Children under the age of 16 are not liable to tax.

Furnishings
Our three accommodations were furnished in collaboration with Belgian designers from Concept X Interiors in the neighboring town of Olhão. We're thrilled with the results!

The paintings hanging in our holiday homes were created by Dutch artist Chantal van Leeuwen, who lives and works in the Algarve.

We're fans of her work and are thrilled that Chantal has part of her collection on display in our guesthouse. The paintings are for sale, except for a few we particularly love!
