Designers Concept X Interiors at Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho
On July 1, 2025, we will open the doors of Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho with a shared pool and three completely different high-end holiday homes in the Eastern Algarve, Portugal.
Together with the designers of Concept X Interiors, we are intensively working on the complete furnishing of our three luxury rental accommodations.
ConceptX has 15 years of experience in Belgium with their design shop and the furnishing of hotels and B&Bs. In addition, there is a cozy pop-up showroom in the nearby town of Olhao.
You are welcome here for advice and to view their beautiful design furniture. And all this while enjoying a drink.
After an initial introduction in the ConceptX showroom in Olhão, designer Tom Versmissen came to see our Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho, which was currently under construction.
The way of working of Concept X appealed to us very much. For example, they first looked at what furniture we still have and what style appeals to us. They also advised us to look at flea markets in the area for things that are nice for the decoration. Combining old and new!
In the first conversation we indicated that we wanted to lay a large white tile in Casa Celine. They advised us to go for a slightly warmer tile as a base. As an example they took a sand-colored stone on the ground.
With this stone we went to the store and found four possible options. Together with Tom and Pieter we then made a choice. So nice that we got their help with that!
For our renovated Portuguese house Casa Pauline they thought it would be nice to lay hand-baked Portuguese tiles in the bathroom.
It's so much fun to see how this 83 year old Portuguese man makes the tiles in all kinds of colours one by one in his simple workshop.
At the old Portuguese doors in Casa Pauline we have chosen the floor tiles below. They have now been made and are ready at our construction site.
To give them an idea of what we like, we created a mood board. We discussed it on September 29, 2024.
Then a few weeks later we went to their office to see their three different mood boards and we were immediately enthusiastic about the colours and materials.
On January 2, 2025, the offer was signed and in a few months there will be hotel beds, handmade chairs, beautiful (side) tables in our three rental accommodations. Each casa with its own colors and concept.
