Sailing in the Eastern Algarve

Our Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the sun, sea, and sand, or simply sail between the islands.

You could compare our area to the Wadden Sea. Various islands are accessible by a wide variety of boats and small boats.

Friends once invited us to go sailing with them on their boat. We had a wonderful time. We also had a delicious lunch at a little fish restaurant (reservations required) on the island of Culatra.

Not a fan of boats? There are plenty of other options. For the more sporty types, there are kayaks and SUPs available for rent.

And from the seaside villages, ferries and water taxis depart to take you to one of the islands. The ferry takes a bit longer, but soaking up the sun on the upper deck is no problem. And for the few euros a return ticket costs, you don't have to miss out!

You can also rent a boat with a captain who will show you the nice spots on the various islands and the beautiful nature reserve Ria Formosa.
