Boating in East Algarve
Our Boutique Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Delightful to enjoy sun, sea, and beach, but also a pleasure to boat between the islands.

You can actually compare our surroundings to the Wadden Sea area. Various islands are reachable by many different boats and small boats.

Friends once invited us to go sailing with their boat. We really enjoyed it. And also had a delicious lunch at a little fish restaurant (just reserve in advance) on the island of Culatra.

No friends with a boat? Then there are plenty of other options 😄😅 For the sports enthusiasts there are kayaks and SUPs available for rent.

And from the seaside villages, ferries and water taxis depart to take you to one of the islands. The ferry takes a bit longer, but being on the upper deck in the sunshine is not a punishment. And for the few euros that a return ticket costs, you don’t have to pay for it!

You can also hire a small boat with a captain who will show you the nice spots on the various islands and the beautiful natural area Ria Formosa.
