Overwintering at Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho in the Algarve 😎

Did you know that the Algarve, in the south of Portugal, has the highest number of hours of sunshine in winter?

I myself have fond memories of wintering. Having breakfast in the sun around 10 o'clock and going back inside around half past four when the sun sets. Then it really gets colder and it is more comfortable inside.

We also like to have lunch outside in the sun on the terrace in Olhao or in our own village Moncarapacho. A thick coat is really not necessary, but lots of layers!

Many winter visitors enjoy the lovely temperatures at this time of year, which is why there is always a pleasant bustle in the restaurants and shops.

As a winter visitor you can participate in various activities in the direct vicinity. Think of yoga, golf, painting courses, Portuguese lessons, gym, walking trips and also enjoy massage, beauty treatment!

If you would like to spend the winter at our Guesthouse in the Eastern Algarve, you can do so from November 2025 - March 2026.

For a nice winter rate you can stay in a super nice holiday home with underfloor heating and wood stove. Luxury and comfort like home! And less than 8 kilometers from the beach😎
