IEmergenies Care, aid organization in Moncarapacho, Algarve, Portugal
Since May 2021, Boutique Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho has been affiliated with iMergencies Care, an aid organization for additional security and safety in the Algarve.
They ensure that foreigners who do not have a good command of the Portuguese language receive quick and adequate assistance in (often) their own native language.
So instead of the national emergency number 112, our connected customers like us can call the local iMergencies number.
iMergencies was founded about 10 years ago by a Dutchman and a Portuguese woman. Their office is located here in our village of Moncarapacho and is available 24/7 in case of emergency.
They have our (medical) information and know exactly where we live. They collaborate with local and regional emergency services such as the police, fire department, and ambulance service.

In addition, iMergencies uses an advanced process to obtain the exact route to our home and immediately passes this on to the alerted emergency services.
Street names and house numbers are notoriously difficult to find without the correct GPS coordinates. Without the help of iMergencies, ambulances and police often lose valuable time because they can't find the address themselves.
Our guests can also use this service!
For a small weekly fee, they also provide assistance to guests of Boutique Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho who have encountered difficulties due to illness or accident.

You can also request a personal alert from them. In emergencies, pressing the alarm button can summon help via direct voice call and text message. For example, if you're on the beach and feel unwell, they'll immediately know where you are! Read more on their website, IMergencies .
