Islet of Culatra and Farol

Our plot is located at the nature reserve Ria de Formosa . It is somewhat reminiscent of the Wadden area in the Netherlands. To reach the Atlantic Ocean with its many islands off the coast you have to cross "the mudflats". You can go to the island of Culatra and Farol by ferry or water taxi from Olhao.

Once you arrive at Culatra it is worth walking along the beach to the Farol lighthouse. A cozy and trendy beach bar with a view of the Atlantic Ocean and tasty snacks!

In Farol you can board the ferry again. Keep a close eye on the sailing times!
