Already great reviews while our Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho in the eastern Algarve, Portugal only opens on July 1, 2025! Our booking site is open and the first bookings have already been received. How nice!
December 2024: Our first winter booking for January 2026 has arrived! So nice to read how enthusiastic this friendly couple is about our accommodation Casa Pauline. Happy with the wood stove for the winter evenings and how coincidental that there is an armchair in the same color as at their home.
Even though our Guesthouse is currently being built and they have to make do with impressions and mood boards, they already think they have made a good choice. How beautiful is that, thank you for the trust!

September 2024: Ewa and I look back fondly on our visit to Portugal in general and on my niece Celina and husband Maarten in particular. At the beginning of September we were able to admire the guesthouse in progress. Impressive progress has been made. Beautiful location, stunning views and lovely hospitable people. But that runs in the family, doesn't it?😊 We are sure that the end result will be stunning. Thanks also for the joint excursions in the region. Future guests will certainly not be bored and can return home completely rested after their stay. Good luck Celina and Maarten with the final steps! June 2024: An old colleague and his wife were near our village Moncarapacho and of course came to see how far the construction had progressed. Celina was in the Netherlands at the time and received the following message from them:
“Hi Celina, we had a fantastic afternoon with Maarten here in the eastern Algarve! Enjoyed the surroundings and much admiration for your beautiful dream under construction! Thanks for the delicious honey and olive oil! We will definitely book a week so that we can also enjoy the beautiful view! Greetings from us!”
July 2021: On our plot we have a caravan where we temporarily live until our Guesthouse is ready. A daughter of friends of ours needed a week of rest after a heavy and intensive study: "I stayed almost a week in the luxury caravan of Maarten and Celina while they were in the Netherlands. The caravan is fully equipped. On the terrace there are nice lounge chairs so you can sit outside until late in the evening.
It is very nice that the caravan has air conditioning, because of that I could sleep wonderfully. The rain shower in the separate bathroom is great. The caravan is in a beautiful place. You can make beautiful walks and by car a number of beautiful beaches are easily accessible. In short, a super nice stay!
