Our house rules

Welcome to Boutique Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho.

To make your upcoming stay at our accommodation as pleasant and convenient as possible, we have put the necessary information in writing.

Arrival
From 4:00 PM you are welcome in your accommodation.
If you arrive earlier, let us know in time, and we will see if that is possible.

Please give us your flight number in advance so that we are aware and can welcome you.

If we are not able to welcome you personally, you will be greeted by one of our staff members. We will let you know this in advance, of course.

Contact
Please give us your phone number in advance.

As a guest you will receive from us an invitation to a (temporary) WhatsApp group where Maarten, Celina, and you as a guest can communicate with each other.

If you have questions or comments during your stay, you can put them there. We are also on the premises and are of course personally reachable!

Included
During your stay, beach towels, towels, kitchen linen, bed linen, and bathrobes are included. That saves you a lot of luggage space!

Digital newsletter
In addition to blogs and information on this website, we have compiled a digital visitor guide for our guests.

This gives access to information about various activities and sights in our area. The link is also mentioned in the emails you have received from us..

Wifi
In the living room of your accommodation you will find the QR code for the WIFI. It is available throughout our entire premises.

General
Every working day (morning), during your absence, your stay is refreshed. The bed is made, towels are refreshed, and your bed linen is changed weekly.

We refresh the cabin, replace used towels and kitchen linen. From an environmental point of view we do this when you indicate it as a guest.

Put them in the basket under the bathroom furniture. Let us know at booking when you have extra (cleaning) wishes. Or when you want to use one of our arrangements.

For winter guests the cleaning is arranged differently. Your accommodation is cleaned weekly. If you also want to use this daily refresh, it can of course be arranged. Ask about our arrangements.

Keep belongings
Our accommodations are furnished with beautiful warm fabrics that we and our guests want to enjoy for a long time.


Plaids
There are plaids in the cabin to protect the sofa and chairs. Use them, for example, when you have applied sunscreen, want to eat on the sofa, or due to excessive sweating from the heat. Our thanks for that!

Children
When renting to a family with children, the sofas and chairs are standard covered with plaids. Very relaxed!

Little accident 
We do not ask for a deposit because we assume our guests take care with our belongings.

If there is accidental damage, let us know, and we will fix it or arrange a replacement.

Use a clean cloth with just a little water to clean any stains on the furniture. That is often enough.

Defect
Let us know as soon as possible if something is broken, and we will replace it as soon as possible.

Major damage
If there is major damage caused by the guest, we may ask you to compensate for it.


Summer
In the summer months it can get very hot in the Algarve. Open the windows for half an hour early in the morning to air out the place.

To keep the heat out it is advisable to keep the windows closed all day and close the curtains.

For safety and tranquility, children may only use the shared pool with their parents.

Children who cannot swim must wear swim rings at the pool.

Maintenance
Minor maintenance in the cabins is sometimes needed. This will be done as much as possible during your absence. We will notify this in the group app unless it is an emergency.

Rural area
Our Guesthouse is in the middle of nature. Important to keep that in mind.

Pests
Do not leave trash bags outside and keep the kitchen always clean to avoid pests.

Sewerage
Our Guesthouse is not connected to the sewer system due to its rural location. To prevent blockages we only ask for toilet paper to be deposited in the toilet.

All other items (including wet wipes) can be deposited in the designated toilet bucket. It is emptied each working day.

Extra plastic bags are ready in the kitchen cabinet.

Fire
In Portugal it is forbidden, especially in summer, to start a fire due to dryness and fire risk.

Garden
Work is carried out in the garden of your accommodation or plants are watered regularly. This will be done as much as possible during your absence.

Rain and wind
In strong wind, please fold the parasol on your terrace.

If it rains during your absence, we will bring the cushions from the garden chairs back inside.

If you are home yourself, we ask you to bring the cushions inside yourself.

At Casa Pauline you can put them in the small bedroom and at Casa Florine in the reception.

Departure
There is a time to come and a time to go. We hope your stay has been completely to your liking!

Departure time
We ask that you leave the accommodation by 10:00 AM so that we can prepare everything for the next guests.

Late departure
If your flight departs later in the day and you would like to use the accommodation, let us know in time. We will then look at the possibilities together.

Luggage space
If you cannot stay longer in your accommodation, we can put your suitcases in a locked cabinet until you leave.

Enjoy the pool and our shower area behind the pool to get dressed.

Cleaning
Leave your accommodation tidy at departure. Place used towels, bathrobes, and kitchen linen on the floor in the bathroom.

For our convenience, place the duvet cover and pillowcases on the bed. We will gladly remove them ourselves.

Dispose of trash into the relevant containers. Leave the oven, barbecue, and wood stove clean as found at arrival. Load dirty dishes into the dishwasher and start it if it is full.

If you would like us to handle all this, after all it's vacation, ask about our arrangements.

Food items in the fridge that are still good can be left for our staff. Living here in Portugal is expensive for them. They are very happy with it.

Review
In the cabin there is a guestbook ready for you, if you like, to note your experiences of the surroundings and/or restaurant tips for the next guests.

To constantly work on and improve our service, we appreciate it when you keep us informed of your experiences during your stay with us.
