IMergenies Care, aid organization in Moncarapacho, Algarve, Portugal

Since 2021, Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho has been affiliated with iMergencies Care, an aid organization for additional security and safety in the Algarve.

They ensure that foreigners who are not fluent in Portuguese are quickly and adequately assisted in (often) their native language.

So instead of the national emergency number 112, affiliated customers like us can call the local iMergencies number.

iMergencies was founded about 15 years ago by a Dutchman and a Portuguese. Their office is located here in our village Moncarapacho and can be reached 24/7 in case of emergency.

Our data is known to them, and they are precisely aware of where we live. They collaborate with local and regional aid organizations such as the police, fire department, and ambulance services.

Additionally, iMergencies uses an advanced process to obtain the exact route to our home and immediately pass it on to the alerted aid service.

Here, street names and house numbers are very difficult to find without the correct GPS coordinates. Without the help of iMergencies, ambulances or police often lose valuable time because they cannot find the address themselves.

iMergencies Tourist Card
For our guests, we have taken out a special insurance policy. iMergencies provides 24/7 assistance, often in your native language, to guests of Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho who have fallen ill or been involved in an accident.

This (mandatory) insurance costs €0.35 per person, per day, and is listed on your booking invoice. Upon arrival, you will find a special iMergencies Tourist Card with their contact details. A relaxing idea!

Renting a GPS Alarm Button & Tracker
It is also possible to request a personal alarm from them. In emergencies, help can be requested by pressing the alarm button, initiating a direct voice call and SMS. For instance, if you fall ill on the beach, they will immediately know your location! Read more on their website iMergencies.
