Since 2021, Boutique Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho has been affiliated with iMergencies Care, a help organization for extra security and safety in the Algarve.

They ensure that foreigners who do not have good command of the Portuguese language are quickly and adequately helped in their native language.

So instead of calling the national emergency number 112, our affiliated customers, like us, can call the local iMergencies number.

iMergencies was founded about 15 years ago by a Dutchman and a Portuguese. Their office is located here in our village of Moncarapacho and is available 24/7 in case of an emergency.

Our data are known to them and they are exactly aware where we live. They work together with local and regional rescue services such as police, fire department and ambulance.

In addition, iMergencies uses an advanced process to obtain the exact route to our home and pass it directly on to the alerted rescue service.

It is indeed the case that street names and house numbers are very difficult to find without the correct GPS coordinates. Without the help of iMergencies, you often see ambulances or police losing valuable time because they themselves cannot find the address.

Voor our guests we have concluded a special insurance policy. iMergencies provides 24/7 assistance, often in your native language, to the guests of Boutique Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho who have become involved in problems due to illness or an accident.

This (mandatory) insurance is € 0.35 per person, per day and is mentioned on your booking invoice. Upon arrival you will find a special Tourist Card from iMergencies with their phone numbers. What a relaxing idea!

GPS Alarm Button & Tracker rental
It is also possible to request a personal alarm button from them. In emergency situations, help can be requested by pressing the alarm button and making a direct voice call and SMS.
