We ourselves find the winter months from November to March a wonderful time here in the Eastern Algarve. Breakfasting in the sun around 10 o'clock and then going back inside around half past four when the sun sets. It does get colder then, and it's more comfortable inside.
We love to have lunch outside in the sunshine on the terrace in Olhao or in our own little village Moncarapacho. A thick jacket is definitely not needed, but lots of layers!
