For older people, together or alone, our comfortable, luxurious and boutique-sized Hotel Guesthouse-Moncarapacho with three holiday homes in eastern Algarve, Portugal is extremely suitable.
Health and safety
Going on holiday abroad while you are alone, older or have health problems can be quite intimidating. We therefore find it important that our guests feel safe and at home with us.
Going on holiday alone can sometimes be a challenge. Whether you are a bit older or struggling with health problems, it is often stressful to travel. What if something happens to you during your holiday?

The accommodations
Our cottage Casa Pauline is safe and ground-level. In this accommodation we take into account people who have mobility issues or are wheelchair-bound.
Also the two other cottages Casa Florine and Casa Celine are also ground-level and equipped with all conveniences. However, they are only reachable via a wide external staircase.
Host and hostess
We live on the premises ourselves and are available 24/7. Not only for questions or problems but also for a chat or a drink.
Family doctor
Our competent and friendly Dutch general practitioner lives and works in a nearby village at a health centre. In our own village there are two dentists in practice. There is also a large pharmacy and in the neighbouring village of Fuseta a good physiotherapist.
iMergencies Care
We are affiliated with iMergencies Care and for our guests with iMergencies Tourist Care. They ensure that foreigners who are not fluent in Portuguese are quickly and adequately assisted in (often) their own mother tongue. Read here more about iMergencies.
Activities
You can, within the immediate surroundings, during your vacation, participate in various kinds of activities such as yoga lessons, golf lessons, dancing, organized walks.
We have compiled what there is to do in the area into a digital newsletter for you as a guest so that you can easily go out during your stay with us.
If you want to participate in a specific activity or workshop, let us know in advance. We will make sure it is arranged for your vacation!

Sea and Beach
The cozy fishing village of Fuseta lies 8 kilometres from us. There is an inland beach with sun loungers, umbrellas and the sea is shallow and has no waves. At the restaurant Borda d'Aqua you can enjoy delicious food and drinks. The parking lot is only 100 metres away from this beach and it is wheelchair-accessible.

Wintering
The Algarve is known for its high number of sunshine hours per year. A large number of people from all over Europe winter here. The nice thing is that the surrounding villages become cosy and lively. Having lunch outside in the sun, who wouldn't want that! Read here more.
Extra hotel services
Think of a stocked fridge upon arrival, champagne in the room, arranging a taxi, etc. We can also arrange a massage, beauty treatments, yoga or golf lessons in advance for you. We are happy to do this for our guests.

Of course we take care of the first aid kit, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide/gas alarm detectors, motion sensors, and the like in the rental accommodation.
In short, a pleasant thought that a relaxed holiday here in Portugal, even in case of emergency, is well arranged!
