For seniors, alone or together, our comfortable, luxurious and small-scale Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho with three holiday homes in the eastern Algarve, Portugal is extremely suitable.
Health and safety
Going on vacation abroad while you are alone, older, or have health issues can be exciting. We therefore consider it important that our guests feel safe and at home with us.
Going on vacation alone can sometimes be a challenge. Or if you are older or have health problems, traveling can often be daunting. What if something happens to you during your vacation?

The accommodations
Our cottage Casa Pauline is safe and on the ground floor. This accommodation takes into account people who have difficulty walking or are confined to a wheelchair.
The other two cottages Casa Florine and Casa Celine are also on the ground floor and equipped with all amenities. However, they are only accessible via a wide outdoor staircase.
Host and hostess
We ourselves live on the property in winter and are available 24/7. Not only for questions or problems but also for a chat or a drink.
General practitioner
Our knowledgeable and sympathetic Dutch general practitioner lives and works in a village nearby in a health center. In our own village, two dentists are practicing. There is also a large pharmacy, and in the neighboring village of Fuseta, there is a good physiotherapist.
iMergencies Care
We are affiliated with iMergencies Care and for our guests with iMergencies Tourist Care. They ensure that foreigners who are not fluent in Portuguese are quickly and adequately helped (often) in their native language.
Upon arrival, you will find two cards with phone numbers that you can call in case of an emergency. For example, in case of car trouble, theft, medical problems, etc. Read more about iMergencies.
Activities
During your vacation, you can participate in various types of activities such as yoga classes, golf lessons, dancing, organized walks.
What there is to do in the area, we have compiled for you as a guest in a digital newsletter so that you can easily set out during your stay with us.
If you want to participate in a particular activity or workshop, let us know in time. We'll make sure it's arranged for your vacation!

Sea and Beach
The cozy fishing village of Fuseta is 8 kilometers from us. There is an indoor beach with sun loungers, parasols, and the sea is shallow and has no waves.
At the restaurant Borda d'Aqua you can enjoy delicious food and drinks. The parking lot is only 100 meters away from this beach and it is wheelchair accessible.

Overwintering
The Algarve is known for its high number of sun hours per year. A large number of people from all over Europe overwinter here. The nice thing is that the villages around us are cozy and lively as a result. Enjoying a lunch outdoors in the sun, who wouldn't want that! Read more about overwintering in the Algarve.
Extra services
Think of a filled fridge upon arrival, champagne in the room, arranging a taxi, etc. We can also arrange massages, beauty treatments, yoga or golf lessons for you in advance. We love to do this for our guests.

Of course, we provide a first aid kit, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide/gas alarm detectors, motion sensors, and the like in the rental accommodation.
In short, it's reassuring to know that even in case of an emergency, a relaxing vacation here in Portugal is well organized!
