visit the city of Faro.
Just half an hour from our Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho, lies Faro, the capital of the Algarve in Portugal. Known for its airport but less known as a lovely historical city to visit!
Cozy streets with restaurants, terraces and boutiques.
And don't forget the rooftops where you can have a drink or eat with a view of Faro harbor and the Atlantic Ocean. From this harbor, you can take a ferry or water taxi to the nearby islands.
A recommendation is to take a walk through the city with Faro Free Walking Tours. Volunteers will tell you about the history of Faro and the Algarve. We found it very interesting, just make sure to book in advance!
From the little fishing village of Fuseta, where our Guesthouse has a view of, you can also take the train to Faro. Fun to do with kids and you can easily get off in the city!
