The completely renovated old Portuguese cottage Casa Pauline (45 m2) is a wonderfully authentic comfortable and luxurious self-catered holiday home with two bedrooms and shared pool for 1-4 persons in a Mediterranean garden in the Algarve, Portugal.
What does Casa Pauline offer?
The cottage is renovated in Portuguese style with the well-known authentic Portuguese details. Suitable for young and old but also suitable for remote workers and a family with baby and/or toddler.
The high wooden ceilings and many windows make the holiday home look light and spacious. It has a view of the sea, its own private Mediterranean and south-facing garden and the neighbours' olive grove.
Air conditioning and underfloor cooling in the summer and comfortable underfloor heating and a cozy wood stove in the winter. The floor is covered with the original handmade Portuguese Santa Catarina floor tiles.
From the cozy living room you have access to the master bedroom, the bathroom and the second small bedroom. The kitchenette is located in the living room.
Kitchen
This is equipped with induction hob, extractor hood, small double dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, kitchen linen and separate large fridge. And of course all the necessities for cooking, crockery and cutlery.
Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a vanity unit with wash basin. The floor is covered with Portuguese tiles that were handcrafted by an 83-year-old local craftsman.
Of course, with the modern floor heating of today for the winter! A rain shower with hand shower, bathroom furniture and toilet complete the bathroom.
Living room
Here you will find two comfortable armchairs, a three-seater velvet sofa, a coffee table with marble and glass and a modern carpet in winter.
You can eat at the wooden dining table with four compact handmade dining chairs in linen look. And not to forget the cozy wood stove.
Master bedroom
This consists of a handmade luxury box spring with quilted headboard and 21 cm high hotel quality medium-hardness mattress of 180cmx200cm.
A clothes rack, a chest of drawers, air conditioning and patio doors to your own spacious garden. Bathrobes and bath towels are ready for you!
Second bedroom
This consists of a single bed that can be extended to a double bed in consultation. All baby facilities are also available, such as a cot, high chair, changing mat.
Garden
The large private Mediterranean garden with terrace is equipped with a parasol, table and chairs for outdoor dining.
It is completely fenced and has been made childproof just like the house. There is a terrace and a parking space at the front and side of the house.
Communal garden
In the communal young Mediterranean garden there are mainly plants from the Algarve such as yuccas, cacti and succulents. But also palms, cypresses and fruit trees are not missing. We bought a number of them but also many plants we have cut ourselves and they have grown considerably in the meantime.
In this garden you will also find the large gas barbecue where you can barbecue to your heart's content. There will be a jeu de boules court in the future, but that will have to wait a while.
Shared swimming pool
Finally, the saltwater pool of 10 by 4 meters. Big enough to swim a few laps or relax on the bench in the water with a drink. There are sunbeds ready for you under the palm trees with a view of the Atlantic coast. Let the holiday begin!
Remote working
If you want to relax during your stay at Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho and also work remotely, you can do so with us. We provide a good desk chair and good WiFi.

Furnishing
Our Guesthouse is currently under construction. Casa Pauline is almost finished inside. The floor is in, the walls are painted and the bathroom is almost finished.

Together with designers Concept X Interiors from the neighboring town of Olhao we are furnishing our three accommodations. We are super excited about their designs and their furniture will be delivered soon.
