Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho in the Algarve will open its doors on July 1, 2025 and will consist of three rental accommodations, Casa Pauline, Casa Florine and Casa Celine, shared swimming pool and (future jeu de boules court) in a young Mediterranean garden.
Casa Pauline
The former old Portuguese cottage Casa Pauline (40 m2) is a lovely authentic comfortable and luxurious self-catered holiday home with two bedrooms and shared pool for 1-3 persons. The booking site is open and Casa Pauline can be booked from 1 July 2025.
What will Casa Pauline offer?
The cottage is renovated in Portuguese style with the well-known authentic Portuguese details. Suitable for 1-3 people, young and old but unfortunately not for pets. Also suitable for remote workers and a family with baby and/or toddler.
The 40m2 holiday home will consist of a bright living room with the original handmade Santa Catarinas floor tiles both inside and outside. With a view of the sea, the private Mediterranean garden and the olive grove of the neighbors. Air conditioning and underfloor cooling in the summer and comfortable underfloor heating and a cozy wood stove in the winter.
From the cozy living room you have access to the master bedroom, the bathroom and the second small bedroom. The kitchenette is located in the living room.
Kitchen
The kitchenette is equipped with an induction hob, extractor hood, small double dishwasher, wine fridge, coffee maker, kettle, kitchen linen and separate large fridge. And of course all the necessities for cooking, crockery and cutlery.
Bathroom
The cozy bathroom consists of a vanity unit with wash basin. On the floor are Portuguese tiles that were handcrafted by an 83-year-old craftsman from the neighborhood! Of course with the modern floor heating of today for the winter! A rain shower with hand shower, vanity unit and toilet complete the bathroom. The bathrobes and bath towels are ready!
Master bedroom
This consists of a double bed with topper, clothes rack, air conditioning and patio doors to the private spacious garden and terrace.
Second bedroom
This consists of a single bed and a baby bed. Also all baby facilities are present such as high chair, changing mat. Let us know when booking if you would like to use this extra bedroom.
Garden
The large private Mediterranean garden with terrace (25m2) is equipped with table and chairs for outdoor dining, lovely sunbeds or seating, parasol and a (gas) barbecue. It is completely fenced and, like the house, has been made child-safe. There is a terrace at the front and side of the house and there is a private parking space.
Remote working
If you want to work during your stay at Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho besides relaxing, you can do so with us. We provide a good desk chair and good WiFi.
Overwintering
Both Casa Pauline and Casa Florine will be available for winterers from October 15 to April 15, 2026. More information and prices can be found at Casa Pauline wintering.
If you would like to book a shorter stay during this winter period, please let us know. We will then see what the possibilities are.

Tourist tax
Since June 2023, we are obliged as a landlord to collect tourist tax. This tax is not included in the price:
- From May - October, with a maximum of 5 nights, two euros per person per night.
- From November to April, with a maximum of 5 nights, one euro per night.
- Children under the age of 16 are not liable for tax.
Discount code
If you have a unique discount code, enter this code when booking this Portuguese cottage. The discount will then be immediately deducted from the invoice.
Furnishing
Because our Guesthouse is currently under construction we can't show any real pictures yet. The pictures at this accommodation are impressions of how it will look.
We want to furnish each accommodation differently and uniquely and are assisted in this by the Belgian designers Tom and Pieter from Concept X Interiors from the neighbouring town of Olhao.
