The fully renovated old Portuguese cottage Casa Pauline (45 m2) is a wonderfully comfortable and luxurious self-catered holiday home with two bedrooms and a shared pool for 1-2 persons in a Mediterranean garden in the Algarve, Portugal. 

What does Casa Pauline offer?
The cottage has been renovated in Portuguese style with the familiar authentic Portuguese details. Suitable for young and old, also suitable for a small family, remote workers, and winter visitors.

Thanks to the high wooden ceilings and many windows, the holiday home looks bright and spacious. It has a sea view, its own private Mediterranean and south-facing garden, and the neighbors' olive grove.

Air conditioning and floor cooling in summer and comfortable underfloor heating and a cozy wood stove in winter. The floor has original handmade Portuguese Santa Catarina floor tiles.

From the cozy living room you have access to the largest bedroom, the bathroom and the second small bedroom. 

Kitchen
This is equipped with an oven, induction hob, extractor hood, small two-person dishwasher, wine cooler, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, kitchen linen, crockery, cutlery, and a separate large fridge. And of course all the necessities for cooking.  

Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a bathroom cabinet with a washbasin. The floor is laid with Portuguese tiles handcrafted by an 83-year-old craftsman from the area.

Of course, with modern underfloor heating for the winter! A rainfall shower with hand shower, bathroom cabinet and toilet complete the bathroom. 

Living room
Here you will find two comfortable armchairs, a three-seater velvet sofa, a coffee table with marble and glass, and a modern carpet.

You can eat at the wooden dining table with four compact handmade dining chairs in linen look. And don't forget the cozy wood stove, the firewood blocks are already ready.

Large bedroom
This consists of a handmade luxury box spring with a through-headboard and a 21 cm high hotel-quality medium-hardness mattress of 180cm x 200cm and a topper.

A wardrobe, a dresser, air conditioning and sliding doors to your own spacious garden. The bathrobes and bath towels are ready for you!

Second bedroom
This consists of a single-bed sofa bed (which can be unfolded into a double bed) with a good quality mattress. Also a hanging area for your clothes and a well-stocked bookshelf. A baby cot can also be placed.

Garden
The large private Mediterranean garden with terrace is equipped with a parasol, a lounge set to relax outside. Both at the front and the side of the house there is a terrace and a parking space. 

Shared garden
In the shared young Mediterranean garden there are mainly plants from the Algarve such as yuccas, cacti and succulents. Also palms, cypresses and fruit trees are present. 

In this garden you will also find the large gas barbecue where you can grill to your heart's content. A game of pétanque will be added in the future.

Shared pool
Finally the saltwater pool measuring 10 by 4 meters. Big enough to swim a few laps or to relax on the bench in the water with a drink.

There are sun loungers ready for you under the palm trees with a view of the Atlantic coast. Let the holiday begin!

Remote work
Want to work remotely while staying at Boutique Guesthouse-Moncarapacho, in addition to relaxing? You can do that with us. We provide a good office chair and good WiFi.

* For rent for 1 night, a few nights, a week up to a few months.
* Option to rent the entire Guesthouse

Tourist tax
- From May to October, for a maximum of 5 nights, you pay 2 euro per person per night.
- From November to April, for a maximum of 5 nights, you pay 1 euro per person per night.
- Children under 16 years are not subject to tax.

Design
Along with Belgian designers from Concept X Interiors from the nearby town of Olhao, our three accommodations have been designed. We are super excited about the result! 

The paintings hanging in our holiday homes are by Dutch artist Chantal van Leeuwen. She works and lives in the Algarve.

We are fans of her work and are therefore very happy that Chantal has part of her collection hanging in our Guesthouse. These paintings are for sale.
