The completely renovated Portuguese cottage Casa Pauline (45 m2) is a delightful, comfortable and luxurious self-catered holiday home with two bedrooms and a shared swimming pool for 1-2 people in a Mediterranean garden in the Algarve, Portugal.

What does Casa Pauline offer?
The cottage is renovated in Portuguese style with the famous authentic Portuguese details. Suitable for young and old, also suitable for small families, remote workers and winter visitors.

Due to the high wooden ceilings and many windows, the holiday home appears light and spacious. It has a view of the sea, its own private Mediterranean garden and the south-facing olive grove of the neighbors.

Air conditioning and floor cooling in summer and comfortable underfloor heating and a cozy wood stove in winter. The original handmade Portuguese Santa Catarina floor tiles are on the floor.

From the cozy living room you have access to the largest bedroom, bathroom and the second small bedroom. 

Kitchen
This is equipped with an oven, induction hob, extractor hood, small two-person dishwasher, wine cooler, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, kitchen linen, tableware, cutlery and separate large refrigerator. And of course all the necessities for cooking.  

Bathroom
The bathroom consists of a vanity unit with sink. The Portuguese tiles on the floor are handmade by an 83-year-old local craftsman.

Of course, with modern underfloor heating for winter! A rain shower with hand shower, vanity unit and toilet complete the bathroom. 

Living room
In it you will find two comfortable armchairs, a three-seater velour sofa, coffee table with marble and glass and a modern rug.

You can eat at the wooden dining table with four compact handmade dining chairs in linen look. And not to forget the cozy wood stove, the firewood is already ready.

Large bedroom
This consists of a handmade luxury box spring with quilted headboard and a 21 cm high hotel quality medium firmness mattress of 180cmx200cm and a topper.

A wardrobe, a chest of drawers, air conditioning and French doors to the private spacious garden. The bathrobes and bath towels are ready for you!

Small bedroom
This consists of a single bed bench (can be extended to a double bed) with a good quality mattress.

Also a hanging section for your clothes and a well-stocked bookcase. A baby cot can also be placed next to a single bed.

Garden
The large private Mediterranean garden with terrace is equipped with a parasol, lounge set to relax outside. There is a terrace and parking space both at the front and side of the house. 

Communal garden
In the communal young Mediterranean garden there are mainly plants from the Algarve such as yuccas, cacti and succulents. But palms, cypresses and fruit trees are also present. 

In this garden you will also find the large gas barbecue where you can barbecue to your heart's content. A jeu de boules court will be added in the future.

Shared swimming pool
Finally, the 10 by 4 meter saltwater swimming pool. Large enough to swim a few laps or relax on the bench in the water with a glass.

Sunbeds are ready for you under the palm trees with views of the Atlantic coast. Let the vacation begin!

Wintering
Casa Pauline is very suitable for staying during the winter period for a longer time. Both underfloor heating, wood stove and good insulation ensure that when the sun does not shine, it is still pleasant to stay!

Tourist tax
- From May-October, over a maximum of 5 nights, you pay two euros per person per night.

Interior
Together with Belgian designers from Concept X Interiors from the neighboring town of Olhao, our three accommodations have been furnished. We are super enthusiastic about the result.

The paintings hanging in our holiday homes are made by the Dutch artist Chantal van Leeuwen. She works and lives in the Algarve.
